Pepper Poppers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound jalapenos, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
Directions
In mixing bowl, combine cheese, bacon and seasonings and mix well.

Spoon about 2 tablespoons onto each pepper. Roll in bread crumbs and bake on greased baking pan, uncovered, at 300° for 20 minutes for spicy, 30 minutes for medium, and 40 minutes for mild.

Serve with sour cream or ranch dressing.
