Candied Yams 12 Recipe

  • 1 - 40 ounce can of cut yams
  • 10 marshmallows (large)
  • 1 cup syrup, from the yams
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
Drain the syrup from the yams and reserve 1 cup for the sauce. In a microwavable bowl, heat the yams until hot. In a small sauce pan, combine the syrup, marshmallows, and salt. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted. Place hot yams in a 1 quart baking dish. Pour the hot syrup over the yams. Broil them for about 10 minutes. Keep a close eye on it so they won't burn.
