Barley Pilaf 3 Recipe

Ingredients
  • Serves: 4 to 6
  • 1/4 pound Butter
  • 1 onion, chopped (medium)
  • 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 cup barley
  • 2 cans beef consommé
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Using a heavy skillet, sauté the onions, mushrooms and barley in the butter until the barley is light brown. Place the barley mixture into a casserole. Heat the consommé until it boils, then add it to the casserole dish. Cover and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
