Glazed Julienned Carrots Recipe

"A simple, tasty way to prepare carrots for a side dish to any meal. I didn't have any honey, so I used maple syrup, and it didn't have the sweet, glazed effect I was expecting...."

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds carrots, julienned
  • 1/3 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Directions
In a large skillet, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook over medium heat for 7 to 10 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender Yield: 8 servings.

"A simple, tasty way to prepare carrots for a side dish to any meal. I didn't have any honey, so I used maple syrup, and it didn't have the sweet, glazed effect I was expecting. So next time, I'll be sure to use real honey. I may also added chopped walnuts or almonds. I love veggies!!"
