Swiss Style Green Beans Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter plus 2 T. for topping later
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 packages frozen French style string beans.
  • 1/2 grated onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 pound Swiss cheese
  • Corn Flakes, crushed
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°. Cook and drain green beans. Melt butter in skillet, stir in flour, salt, pepper, sugar and onions. Add sour cream gradually, stirring constantly. Fold in drained green beans. Put in greased casserole dish. (Use Pam). Grate Swiss cheese and put over top. Sprinkle crushed corn flakes over cheese. Melt 2 more tbsp. butter to pour over crumbs. Bake uncovered 20 minutes. Leave in longer to get brown on top if necessary.
