Fresh Chunky Applesauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 cups chopped, tart cooking apples
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Combine first three ingredients. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Mash or put in blender to desired consistency. Optional: Remove peelings. Serve warm or cold.
