CARROT CASSEROLE 39 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup cornflake crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 ounces grated cheese
  • 4 cups cooked carrots
Directions
Mix cornflake crumbs and melted butter, set aside. Cook onions in butter until soft. Add flour, salt, pepper and milk. Cook until thick. Add cheese. Put carrots in 2 qt. casserole pan and add the cheese sauce. Top with cornflakes. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Also works well to heat in crock pot on low heat until heated through.
