Chili Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups white cornmeal
  • 5 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 onion, chopped (medium)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 hot pepper, optional
  • boiling water
  • 1 quart or more beef or pork broth
Directions
1.) Mix first five ingredients together.

2.) Slowly add just enough boiling water to mixture to mix and make into small patties.

3.) Drop patties, one at a time into boiling broth, cover, and cook slowly about 20 minutes, stirring once or twice to prevent sticking.
