Vegetable Casserole 36 Recipe

  • 1 package frozen cauliflower, cooked
  • 1 package frozen mixed vegetables, cooked
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs or croutons
Put drained cauliflower in buttered casserole; break cauliflower into smaller pieces with fork. Pour drained mixed vegetables over cauliflower. Cook onion in 3 T. butter until tender. Pour onions over all and sprinkle with flour. Add milk. Sprinkle cheese over other ingredients. Melt 3 T. butter, add breadcrumbs or croutons; stir. Sprinkle over top. Bake about 30 minutes in 350° oven until it bubbles and bread crumbs are brown. Bake in square dish.
