CABBAGE ROLLS 20 Recipe

Ingredients
12 Cabbage Leaves (Large)
1 1/4 pounds ground beef
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup rice, cooked according to recipe
1 onion, chopped (small)
1 egg
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounce cans)
2 cans Water (8 ounce cans)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
Directions
Let cabbage leaves stand covered with boiling water 5 minutes or until limp. Drain. Combine meat, salt, rice, onion, pepper, and egg. Place equal portion of mixture on each leaf. Fold sides of leaves over meat and roll up. Fasten with a tooth pick. Place oil in large skillet and add rolls. Mix together tomato sauce, water, sugar and vinegar. Add to cabbage rolls. Simmer covered 1 hour, basting occasionally or bake in 350° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
