Casserole of Vegetables Au Gratin Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup green pepper, cut into large squares.
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 each pepper, basil and oregano (1/8 t. each)
  • 1/4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 package frozen corn, thawed (9 ounce pkg)
  • 2 pounds whole canned onions
Directions
Melt butter, add pepper, garlic and cook until tender. Stir in flour until moistened, add milk, pepper basil, oregano and sugar. Heat and stir until sauce thickens. Remove and stir in 1/2 C. cheese. When melted add tomatoes turn into 8 C. casserole pan. Add corn and onions, sprinkle 1/2 grated cheese on top. Bake at 350° uncovered for 50 minutes.
