Mom's Mac 'n Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 - 1 lb box elbow macaroni
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (I use 2%)
  • 3 cups shredded ex-sharp cheddar cheese (white)
  • 2 cups shredded Jack & Colby blend
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup of Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons butter - melted - add to crumbs and mix together for topping
Directions
Cook elbow macaroni, drain, and set aside. Heat the milk and add shredded cheeses, stirring until melted in. Prepare a casserole dish or stoneware* dish by spraying lightly with olive oil. Add cooked macaroni and cheese/milk mixture. Top with buttered bread crumbs and bake for 45-50 minutes. Not your everyday healthy dish - but great for an occasional treat!
