Ingredients
  • 1 pound green beans, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • salt and pepper, to taste

In a saucepan, bring beans and water to a boil; reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook until beans are crisp tender; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté garlic in butter until lightly browned, about 1 minute.

Add beans, salt and pepper; heat through.

"This was a great change from microwaved green beans and I even used the canned ones. Heating them in the skillet dries them off a little so they aren't so wet and the garlic adds so much flavor."
