Baking Powder Biscuits 29 Recipe

  • 2 cups flour (can use wheat flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/3 cup shortening
Preheat oven to 425. Combine dry ingredients. Add shortening and use fork to cut in. Add milk and stir until blended. Knead gently, 8-10 times. roll dough on lightly floured surface and cut into biscuits with biscuit cutter or use drinking glass. bake on ungreased baking sheet for 23-15 minutes. makes 12-16 biscuits.

*Can use 1/4 C. dry milk and 3/4 C. water
