Apple Pie Filling for canning 3 Recipe

Ingredients
  • Combine in large pan and cook, stirring until thick and bubbly
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 10 cups water.
  • Add after thickened
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
Pour about 1 1/2 C. syrup into the bottom of a canning jar, fill with prepared apples.

Process 20 minutes. Yield: 6 quarts.
