Homemade Chili Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds ground chuck
  • 2 quarts tomato juice
  • 2 cans Brooks Hot Chili Beans (10 3/4 ounce cans)
  • 3 onions, diced (medium)
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sweet basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cyanne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Combine all ingredients except ground chuck and onions. Slowly simmer.

Brown ground chuck and onions together. Drain well. Add to other ingredients.

Slowly simmer for 1/2 - 3/4 hour.

Makes 5-6 quarts.
