Sausage Bean Soup 3 Recipe

  • 3/4 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can white kidney beans, rinsed and drained (15 1/2 ounce can)
  • 1 can 15 0 z.) black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained (14 1/2 ounce can)
  • 1 can 14 1/2) beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil
In a large saucepan cook sausage, onion and garlic until the sausage is browned; drain fat. Add beans, tomatoes, broth and basil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Yield 4-6 servings.
