Dutch Wilted Lettuce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
  • 1/8 cup vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
Directions
Fry two slices of bacon until crisp; remove from pan, and crumble.

Sauté minced onion in bacon drippings, until brown.

Add vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar and crumbled bacon; mix all together.

Pour over torn lettuce.
