Dutch Wilted Lettuce Recipe

  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
  • 1/8 cup vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Crumbled bacon
Fry two slices of bacon until crisp; remove from pan, and crumble. Sauté 1/4 c minced onion in 1 T of bacon drippings, until brown. Ad 1/8 c vinegar, pinch of salt, dash of pepper, 1 T sugar and crumbled bacon; mix all together. Pout over lettuce which has been town into bite size pieces.
