Turnip Green Soup 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 can Glory brand turnip greens (large can)
  • 1 can any brand) mustard greens
  • 3 cans Great Northern Beans
  • 1 chopped onion (large)
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil or bacon drippings
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 2 pounds smoked sausage, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder, optional
Directions
Sauté chopped onion in oil in large soup pot; add sliced sausage and cook until sausage are slightly browned. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in greens, beans, and seasonings; bring back to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer for 30 minutes. Serve with pepper sauce and cornbread.
