Chicken Vegetable Soup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tub margarine (2 T tub)
  • 2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 cup chopped potato
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups chicken bouillon or broth
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 can peas, drained (8 ounce can)
Directions
1. Sauté celery and onion in margarine until tender

2. Add remaining ingredients except peas.

3. Simmer about 20 minutes until potato and carrots are tender.

4. Add peas and heat through.

Yield: 6 servings
