Oyster Stew #2 Recipe

  • 2 cans oysters
  • 2 cans evaporated milk
  • 2 cans water
  • 1 cup regular milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped (large)
  • salt & pepper to taste
Put about 1 1/2 cups water in pot. Add onion, cook about 10 minutes. Add oysters and juice; cook about 10 more minutes - add margarine, milk, salt and pepper. Add 1 more cup of water. Cook slowly and stir to keep it from sticking. Cook about 35 to 45 minutes. Do not boil - just get it very hot. The oysters need to cook. After pouring in bowl, add a couple slices of cheese and hot sauce!
