Cucumber Refrigerator Pickles Recipe

  • 4 pounds sliced cucumbers
  • 1 quart white vinegar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup fresh chopped dill, optional
  • 1 tablespoon pickling spice
  • 1 tablespoon whole black pepper
  • 6 onions (medium)
Place cucumber slices in clean 1 gallon glass jar with tight fitting lid. In large bowl stir together vinegar and remaining ingredients until well mixed. Sugar need not dissolve. Pour over cucumbers. Cover. Refrigerate 3 days; carefully inverting jar once each day. Store in refrigerate up to 3 months.
