Vegetable Beef Soup 3 Recipe

  • 3 pounds beef, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup diced Celery
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
Brown meat in hot fat. Add water, tomato juice, onion, and seasoning. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Add the vegetables; cover, simmer 1 hour longer. Remove bay leaves before serving. Makes 8 servings.
