Peanut Brittle 106 Recipe

  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
Combine (stir with a wooden spoon) the sugar, syrup, peanuts and salt into a heavy-duty pan with handle. Place over high heat and when it begins to boil, stir and stir, until it forms a thread and changes color to light brown.

Remove from heat: add soda and mix well. Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Cool and break into pieces.
