Salsa 116 Recipe

  • 12 tomatoes blanched and peeled- we like to use Roma tomatoes
  • 2 cups onions
  • 3 green peppers
  • 3 or less hot peppers(to taste)
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/3 cups white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 2 cans tomato paste
Combine tomatoes, onions and peppers in food processor or blender. Add remaining ingredients and blend to consistency you desire. Simmer 3-5 hrs on stove. Seal in hot jars. Makes 5-8 pints.
