Egg in a Hole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 slices thick/fresh bread
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Directions
Place a slice of bread on a cutting board. Using a biscuit cutter, any type of metal cookie cutter or the end of a glass. Press it down into the center of the bread and remove the newly cut shape. In a skillet, melt a T butter on medium heat, and then place the bread minus the removed shape on top of the butter. Crack an egg into the hole at the center of the bread. using a fork break the yolk to ensure the egg fills the space. Season with a salt and pepper. Flip when the bottom of the egg has fried, and finished cooking. When the egg is done, and the bread fully toasted, remove and serve on a place. Spread your favorite jelly over the egg in the hole if you're feeling adventurous, and enjoy. Kids absolutely Love this recipe. Serves 4 Time: 10 Minutes
