Best of Granola's Recipe

  • 6 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 1/4 sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup honey (more for sweeter taste)
  • 1 cup raisin (or other dried fruit)
  • 2 tablespoons Vanilla
Mix grains, nuts, seeds, coconut, and spices together.

Pour oil and honey over the top. Mix thoroughly.

Spread on lightly oiled cookie sheet and bake 300 for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Stir occasionally while baking.

Take out of oven, mix in raisins, vanilla and almond extract. Return to oven and bake 5-10 minutes more.

Remove from oven and put in air tight container for up to 1 week.
