Apples Preserved for Winter Recipe

  • apples, sliced
  • sugar
Layer sliced apples in a large bowl, lightly sprinkling sugar between layers. Cover with cloth and let set overnight.

In the morning heat apples and juice until hot. Fill sterilized jars with apples packing them a little. Seal and put in hot bath for a while.

Can be used for pies, desserts or apple sauce.
