The Best Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate (Bakers chocolate)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cooking sherry
Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil. Turn down heat and allow to boil for 7 minutes without stirring (timing is important). After 7 minutes, remove from heat and stir in vanilla & sherry. Serve while hot over favorite ice cream. This is a great holiday dessert. (When re-heating, do not allow it to boil.)
