Ingredients
7 pounds cucumbers
2 cups lime
2 gallons water
1/2 gallon vinegar
5 pounds sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pickling spice
Directions
Stir lime and water together. Slice cucumbers and put in lime water for 24 hours. Drain and wash. Put in ice water and ice cubes to last 3 hours. Drain. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and pickling spice and put over cucumbers. Let stand overnight. Next morning bring to boil and boil for 40 minutes. Put in canning jars. Put a stick of cinnamon in each jar and seal.
