Strawberry Sauce 2 Recipe

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Thaw berries if frozen, do not drain. In medium saucepan, stir together sugar and cornstarch. Add berries with juice and mix together. With a potato masher or fork mash the berries a little. Cook and stir constantly over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Then cook and stir 2 more minutes. Remove from heat. Cool to room temperature before serving. Good over angel food cake, ice cream, and cheesecake.
