Pork Mozzarella Recipe

  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 egg or 2 egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 6 boneless pork chops (pork loin slices work well)
Crush soup mix in pouch with rolling pin. Mix soup mix, bread crumbs and pepper on plate. Mix egg and water in shallow dish. Dip chops in egg mixture, then in bread crumb mixture to coat. Place chops in 2-quart shallow dish and bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Pour spaghetti sauce over chops, sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 more minutes or until chops are done. Serves 6.
