Steamed Fish 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 fish 1 1/2 lbs)
  • 3 tablespoons fresh ginger slivers
  • 3 green onions
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Directions
Rinse and pat dry fish, make 3 diagonal slashes across the body on each side of the fish. Place the fish in a wide bowl or plate that will fit steamer basket or wok pan. If the fish is too long, cut it in half and set side by side. Sprinkle fish lightly with salt inside and out. Place ginger and onions inside and on top of the fish, or just on the top. Pour vinegar and soy sauce over the top.

Place dish in a steamer basket or set on a rack over about 1 inch of boiling water in a pan. Cover and stem until fish is done, about 10 minutes for a whole fish. Remove from pan and garnish with parsley.

For microwave, cook on high with fish covered with plastic wrap until done.
