Sweet and Sour Beef and Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup light molasses
  • 2 cups small onions
  • 1 green pepper (large)
  • 2 ounces cans tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 pounds round or chuck steak cut in 1 inch cubes
Directions
Brown onions and peppers in hot oil in a skillet and transfer to the slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cook 6-7 hours on low setting or 4 hours on high. Serve with shell macaroni sprinkled with fresh or freeze dried chives.
