2-Bean Chili Recipe

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cans crush or diced tomatoes
  • 1 can red beans, drained
  • 1 can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 onion, chopped (medium)
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Brown ground beef, drain.

Place the drained beef and remaining ingredients into a Dutch oven or stock pot and cover. Let simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.

Serve with shredded cheese and fresh chopped onion.
