Slow Cooker Sausage and Egg Casserole Recipe

  • 14 slices bread, quartered
  • Optional 2 T mustard
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage, browned and drained
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 dozen eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
Spread bread on one side with mustard, if desired. In a greased slow cooker, layer bread, sausage and cheese. Repeat layering, ending with cheese. Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
