Easy Carving Prime Rib

Having your butcher or meat department cut away the chine bones from the prime rib roast before cooking will make carving the finished prime rib a lot easier.
Quick Tips & Ideas

Easy Carving Prime Rib

After having the chine bones cut off, do not discard them. Have the chine bones placed back on the rib bones and wrap them together to bring home to cook. Tie the meat and rib bones along with the chine bones so they will be cooked as a whole roast. Cooking the prime rib with the chine bones on the meat will provide it with the flavor from the bones and help keep the meat moist. Once cooked the chine bones are removed and the prime rib is easily carved between the rib bones.
