Easy Avocado Pit Removal

More details on working with avocados:
  • Select an avocado that is semi-firm. It should have a little give to it when you press on it with your finger.
  • Once you have cut open an avocado and removed the pit be sure to put lemon juice on your avocado to prevent them from turning brown so quickly.
  • Avocados can be eaten fresh as an appetizer or served with greens as an ingredient in salads. They are often mashed to be made into a sandwich spread or dip.
  • This fruit should not be exposed to excessive or long periods of heat, so it should not be used in dishes that require extended cooking times.
