Most often designed to fit a variety of can sizes, this type of Strainer is made to easily seperate liquid substances from the food contents in a can. Liquids such as water, syrups, oils, and sauces are often removed before preparing the food which can be accomplished quickly and cleanly by using this utensil. The can top is removed from the can and the Can Strainer is placed over the opened end of the can. The Strainer is then placed over a small, clean bowl or a measuring cup if the liquid is to be saved or the can and Strainer is set over the sink drain if the liquid is to be discarded.
