A soup made to be similar to the popular Italian food dish known as Chicken Alfredo or fettuccine Alfredo. This soup is made from a base of milk or cream combined with chicken stock as well as other ingredients such as cooked chicken meat, pasta, Parmesan cheese, carrots, and parsley. The saucy consistency of Chicken Alfredo Soup makes it taste and look like the rich Italian Alfredo speciality made with heavy cream or half and half that is mixed with butter, grated Parmesan cheese, pepper, and occasionally nutmeg.
