Similar to a beef stew, this type of soup is made with a cut of meat suitable for pot roasts (round or chuck) that is mixed with vegetables and a rich broth. The intent with the Pot Roast meat is to provide a cut that has been tenderized by pre-cooking with water so the meat becomes moist and soft textured. Pot Roast Soup will often contain ingredients such as cooked beef, potatoes, carrots, green beans, celery, onions, herbs, seasonings, and flavorings. The soup is a savory mixture of different foods that can provide hearty meal for lunch or dinner.
