A Greek food that is often referred to as a "meat pie" or a meat-filled sandwich. Made with a filo dough wrapping, the Kreatopita is formed into a triangular or square-shaped pastry filled with lamb or any type of meat and vegetables such as onions or mushrooms topped with cheese. The dough is folded so it encloses the contents which are then baked into a flaky, individual serving. Foods that are similar to a Kreatopita include the Manitaropita and the Spanakopita. The Manitaropita is a vegetable filled pastry made from filo dough and garnished with a tomato sauce, while the Spanikopita is baked as a filo dough pie with spinach and cheese inside the dough.
