Egg Shell Cutter
Similar to a scissor in design, this kitchen tool snips off the top of a soft-boiled egg so it can be eaten while still in the shell. The Cutter, which may also be referred to as an Egg Topper, is placed over the tapered end of the egg and the two handles are squeezed together to close a ring of teeth around and through the egg shell. The teeth enclosed in the Egg Topper cut through the shell so the top of the shell can be lifted up and removed from the remainder of the shell. Then the egg shell can be placed in a small egg cup with the open end up, so the egg can be served for eating. Made from stainless steel, the Topper utensil can be easily cleaned by hand or in a dishwasher. The Egg Topper may also be referred to as an Egg Snipper or Egg Shell Scissor.
