Truffle Butter
Made with a base of creamery butter, this is a seasoned spread infused with tiny bits of truffles for flavoring. Most often made with black summer truffles, Truffle Butter is used for creating rich sauces, as a spread for bastings under poultry skin and on grilled meats, or simply used as a flavored butter spread for various breads, vegetables, pasta, potatoes, and rice. It can also be added to steak, eggs, omelets, or potato dishes to add a small but distinct truffle flavor. Truffle Butter can be substituted for traditional butter to add the unmistakable aroma and earthy flavor of truffles to a variety of foods. When adding to foods, remember that the truffle flavor may be somewhat intense, so a little will add a lot of flavor.
