Often considered as a matching set, a Salad Spoon and Fork will typically be shaped to serve the various leafy ingredients used to make a salad with greens. There are a wide variety of different materials, shapes and sizes of Salad Spoon and Forks that range from general purpose to stylish and in some instances, ornate. Wood, plastic, stainless steel, brass, and other materials are readily available for salad utensils. In addition to separate spoons and forks, utensils made for serving salads can also be produced as tongs that have a spoon and fork connected in the center so they can "grip" salad greens with one hand as a serving utensil.
