A method of preparing meat, which has been cut into very thin slices, by frying it at high temperatures so that it becomes crispy-textured and somewhat curved in shape. Prosciutto or bacon are commonly prepared in this manner, frying the meat until it is crunchy, rendering the fat into a liquid, and then adding the firm textured meat into salads, pasta, and other foods.
