Tomato Shark
A small kitchen utensil which looks like a spoon or melon baller with teeth, thus the reason for the shark-related name. With sharp, pointed cutting blades surrounding the edge of this tool, the Tomato Shark is used to quickly remove the calyx or stem of the tomato in one simple motion. In addition to using it for tomatoes, this utensil is also an excellent tool for use in steming strawberries or small mushrooms that are to be filled with a stuffing. Typically constructed of stainless steel and most often dishwasher safe, Tomato Sharks are available in a variety of sizes and shapes at various stores selling kitchenware.
