Apple Bundt Cake - Recipe

A great cake made with apples layered throughout. Perfect for using up your fall harvest of apples. The glaze provides a nice finishing touch to this cake.

Apple Bundt Cake Recipe
Directions
  • Sift together flour and baking powder.
  • Mix all cake mix ingredients together in a large bowl; eat until well mixed.
  • Grease and flour Bundt pan.
  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together, and sprinkle over apples.
  • Pour 1/3 of batter in the Bundt pan; spread out evenly.
  • Top with 1/3 of apple mixture. Repeat 2 more times.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes and then turn out onto a platter.
  • Mix glaze ingredients together and drizzle over cake. If glaze is too thin add a little more powdered sugar.
  • Allow cake to cool before cutting.

-3 cups flour
-1 cup oil
-2 cups sugar
-4 eggs
-1/3 cup orange juice
-2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
-2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- APPLE MIXTURE:
-3 apples, sliced
-5 tablespoons sugar
-2 teaspoons cinnamon
- GLAZE:
-1 cup powdered sugar
-2 1/2 tablespoons milk
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
