Preheat oven to 375°. In large bowl, cream shortening, sugar, egg & vanilla until fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda & salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture until combined. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11-12 minutes or until soft set. (Don't over bake). Cool 1 minute. Remove from pan & cool completely. Prepare creme filling. (See creme filling recipe below). Spread 1 tablespoon of creme filling on cookie & top with another cookie. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
Creme Filling: In a small bowl, cream 2 T. softened butter & 2 T. shortening. Gradually beat in 1/2 c. marshmallow fluff. Blend in 3/4 t. vanilla & 2/3 c. powdered sugar. Beat to spreading consistency.
