| | Directions | | Preheat oven to 350°. Mix apples, 1 cup sugar and cinnamon. Let stand while preparing dough. Mix 2 egg yolks in a cup adding enough milk to make 2/3 cup. Add flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and Crisco. Mix well. Roll out half of dough on cookie sheet. Spread with corn flakes. Add apple mixture. Put top crust on and punch holes for air. Beat egg whites, spread on top of crust. Bake 40 minutes in 11 x 16 pan. While warm, frost with thin powdered sugar frosting. |
